Eye-Health-Farsightedness

Farsightedness

Hyperopia, also known as farsightedness, is a prevalent vision condition characterized by clearer vision of distant objects compared to near ones. The severity of hyperopia affects focusing ability, with individuals experiencing severe farsightedness having difficulty seeing nearby objects clearly, while those with mild hyperopia may have better near vision.

The severity of your farsightedness affects how well you can focus. Individuals with severe farsightedness may have clearer distance vision than near vision, whereas those with mild farsightedness might see nearby objects more clearly.

Additionally, farsightedness can sometimes cause eye misalignment as the visual system tries to compensate for the condition, impacting the functioning of eye muscles.

Typically present from birth and often hereditary, farsightedness can be easily corrected with eyeglasses or contact lenses.
